Want SASSA to Engage Your K-12 Students? Let Us Know!

You’ve seen them since July — back to school displays are everywhere! Pencils, notebooks, scissors… All of the essentials to ensure students have what they need to participate in their studies! The right supplies are useful for learning, but even more vital, thoughtful teachers and engaging activities!

SASSA in the Classroom is can help with that in two ways!

First, we spend anywhere from a few days to a few weeks in K-12 classrooms at no cost to the teacher, students, or parents, implementing our hands-on, inquiry based learning modules. Our collegiate volunteers (participants in our PREP program) walk students through these highly interactive modules and engage them in discussions that emphasize problem-solving and foster critical thinking.

Not interested in a classroom visit just yet? Take a look at our modules to see if they are the right fit for your classroom. Each module is developed through the collaboration between a collegiate researcher and a K-12 teacher to ensure teacher and student needs are being met while simultaneously bringing the newest research directly into the classroom. All of our modules emphasize the connection between the social and hard sciences and demonstrate how each influences the other.
